Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey was a professional hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5, 1998 at Minsk Belarus. Her career has seen her win twelve WTA singles championships, which includes an Grand Slam in the Australian Open of 2023. In her role as a specialist in doubles, she also has won both the US Open of 2019 as well as her first Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. With the Belgian tennis star, she also took home the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019 thus making her the Sunshine Double. Women's doubles only had four couples win this title. Only four couples that achieved this feat in women's doubles. But in doubles, she climbed to number one following her win in Melbourne on February of the following year. She was coached by the former Russian tennis champion Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season, and in part at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was the coach she had for a short period during the months of August through September 2020. She has been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
